Actor Im Joo-hwan was admitted to military in May and suffered from heart trouble and is now stationed at TI&E.
Since September, Im Joo-hwan left the medical corps and is now serving as a soldier in the TI&E. Having suffered from heart trouble before, his symptoms got worse during basic military training and could have been discharged early. His father told Sports Korea, "He's not fully recovered yet but if he feels better after leaving the hospital, he will continue his duties normally.
Im Joo-hwan hasn't been on a holiday yet because he was busy getting treatment. Last month he passed the document judging at the Defense Agency for Public Information Services but didn't fully qualify. His father said, "I heard he didn't make it as a celebrity soldier. However, I'm glad to hear he's doing well in the base he's located in.
Although Im Joo-hwan knew about his weak body conditions, he chose to go to the army rather than avoid it. Therefore, his father and himself, have never thought about a sick discharge .
Im Joo-hwan joined the military last May and was hospitalized for his heart conditions at the Army Capital Hospital.
