Ugly Alert - Ep76 Recap

Harabeoji tells Creepy Lawyer the reason why he agreed to his proposal was because he wanted to show him that ‘being 100% confident’ is impossible.
Na-sajangnim tells him he is a part of BY, so he should understand Harabeoji’s management strategies and learn from this experience.
"BY is not a company that operates machinery. It’s where people come together. Although everyone has the same goal, each individual also has their own story. Do you still think you can gather 100% of  the people’s agreement?”
"I grew up being taught that using ‘100%’ as a goal to accept challenges, will allow people to climb up to the highest point."
"Our management philosophy is even if you have 99% confidence, you cannot ignore the other important 1%."
"I feel that companies shouldn’t become a ‘school’ to teach philosophies, but rather (it should be a jungle) to teach you how to survive in battle. I believe the weakness in Korea’s companies are that they are too caught up in ‘humanism’. What we need to do is find a way to survive amongst the millions of companies out there, isn’t it?”
Harabeoji doesn’t directly answer him, but instead asks Do Hee’s father "do you remember what your mother said to you when you were preparing to enter university?"
"She told me not to cheat. Even if you can see your classmate’s answer, even if you have the urge to look over, you must insist on not cheating.  Just because you want to enter university, does not mean you can let another person (who had the right to originally) lose their chance.
Harabeoji then says “that person is my wife, and I totally respect her thinking. Is this a weak point of ‘humanism’ then?”
Creepy Lawyer is adamant on his ‘own philosophy’  and says he’ll put in all his effort for Harabeoji, Nasajangnim…and Na Do Hee.” (still doesn’t get it does he? *sigh*)
Harabeoji says,”Do Hee will become the pillar of support for BY later on and she’s always been showing that she has the ability to carry this responsibility.” (meanwhile Joo Young’s mother hears all of this outside ⊙0⊙).
Right, he agrees, that’s why Do Hee should carry the responsibility by becoming even more fearless.(=.=#)
Do Hee’s father finally says something to this nut-head over here.
"Each person has a role that they are suited for. The president (Haraeboji) created the company, and I take on the role of aiding him. Furthermore, Do Hee is not some ‘scary poison’ (as creepy lawyer insists she should become), she knows what methods to use in each suitable situation.
Nut-head then continues, further insisting that BY has the potential of becoming a world-wide label. (oh brother, he still doesn’t get it =.=)
"We don’t know what type of future Do Hee will be responsible for holding," Haraeboji says. "But we know (one thing for sure), that she’s a loyal employee. That’s why we believe she will work together with everyone to create a beautiful future for BY."
"Lawyer Lee, to someone like her, what do you want to become?(IOW, how will you help her?)
[UH, HE WON’T? This nuthead’s ideas are clashing head-on with BY’s philosophy. If he continues staying by Do Hee’s side and BY, he’s only going to create chaos!!!Kick him out while it’s still early =.= PLEASE!!!]
UGHHH, creepy lawyer always has that ability to make me all fired up every time I recap him =.=!!!! *punches his face* (▼へ▼メ)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do Hee and Joo Young meet up with Joon Soo to hear him talk about Hyun Suk’s ‘secret’. Do Hee says she’ll leave them two to talk about it, but Joon Soo tells her she should also listen.
He tells Joo Young that "hey you (cho-gi)" is actually his father. After entering their family, they were known to them as “cho-gi” and “oi”.
"We were the ‘strangers’ and they hated us. And even though my father tried hard (to make things work), in the end he only left a burden to the family, and then left the world. To Hyun Suk, my father…cho-gi, might be someone he’ll never be able to understand, and never able to make peace with because he inflicted too much pain on him. Father and me…created too much pain in Hyun Suk’s heart. I hope you (Joo Young) can heal him.
"But Joon Soo sshi… I think you still don’t know something."
And it flashes back to when Hyun Suk told her now he finally realized why his mother liked someone like Joon Soo’s father: “Now I understand why she loved someone so ugly, with zero manliness and who was ignorant….”
"When he was saying this…he was smiling. If it was someone he could never make peace with…he wouldn’t be smiling when he said that."
She tells him she thought he should know this and leaves him there…with tears brimming at his eyes….
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do Hee and Joon Soo are silently walking together and he remembers what his father said about it being a ‘miracle’ that they have a new family. As he continues walking, his own words echo back at him: "although my father is a liar, stupid, a fool…but I still love him." *tears up*  (╯︵╰,)
And suddenly, it’s too much to handle and he stops in his footsteps, and rests his hand against a tree, tears streaming down his face.
Do Hee lightly places her hand on his shoulder and caresses his back, telling him "Oi, you can painfully cry. From now on, you’re not ‘Oi’ anymore. You’re an oppa, a hyung (to them). You’re not crying because you feel bad, so under this bright sunlight, just let it out." (She makes reference to something they only understand. Crying in the rain was because they wanted to hide their tears. But it’s sunny now, so there is no need to hide it…)
"Do Hee ah…perhaps it wasn’t Hyun Suk or Jin Joo that couldn’t forgive my father…maybe it was me. I really loved him…so that’s why I couldn’t forgive him. ‘Why do we have to live like this’…I always felt painful (because of that)."
Do Hee rests her head on his back and hugs him from behind. Her actions seem to tell him "I understand" and she cries with him.
*weeeps*  (╥_╥)
THE MOST POIGNANT SCENE EVE-R TT_TT. Under that canopy of bright green leaves, the delicate sunshine seeps through and rests on both of them….it was just *cry* TOO BEAUTIFUL. ╥﹏╥ .  And so this is why these two are affectionately called the ‘healing couple’.
When Joon Soo cried, his tears signified that action of ‘letting go’ by  ’untying’ that knot in his heart today. And with him, is the woman he loves, at his back supporting and consoling him. (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ
I feel like I have so much more to say about the significance of this scene, but I’m really at a loss of words for now.
I’ve truly seen Joon Soo grow up. I’ve seen him heal. Really, it’s simply all just that… *blabbers and weeps on ・゚゚・(>д<)・゚゚・。*
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nari gets a role in a movie and both Jin Joo and her are thankful to the director. But what about Dong Woo? Jin Joo asks.
It seems as if they failed to communicate with him, because they tell him his ‘small role’ was given to an idol (=.=”)
"No matter who plays the role, the movie is the most important to you, isn’t it director? Then why don’t you just give Dong Woo a chance to audition?
The director tells her why bother when he’ll only be disappointed in the end(ack! so you had no plans on trying out for the role, just giving it to some idol, weren’t you!!?)
Then Jin Joo tells him "I’m sorry then. I wanted Nari to act under a director who emphasized on quality. This situation is exactly the same as the movie we just finished. Because an idol’s schedule clashed with the filming, everything was all messed up. This is the responsibility of the director’s."
She firmly holds her stance and tells them although it was a good opportunity, it seems like they can’t participate.
FIERCE! Yeahhhhh !!!! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
The director gets all worried and is like “wait!!!” before they leave. Hehehe.
I’m sure this is what happens in reality as well. Idols landing roles just because they’re well, IDOLS. Then some aspiring actor gets forsaken because of that.
I’m not against idols acting. In fact Nari (Seol Hyun) is an idol in real life, but she’s got a ‘supporting role’ in here.  And I actually like that they start off small and maybe work their way up. But I really hate how some idols just get lead roles with NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE. It’s becoming a trend nowadays and it seems nothing can be done *sigh*
Anyway, I have digressed.ヽ(ー_ー )ノ
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hyun Suk ah. When I had no name…and you guys called me "Oi", I especially liked it. Perhaps "Cho-gi" felt the same. Like me, the first time he saw you guys, he liked you right away. So in order to earn your favour…in order to become some-what of a ‘father’…"
" I know…" Hyun Suk cuts in.
"When I visited you at prison, I was really angry at you. Why did you do something like that for me? When I shouted to you ‘how will I live now?’, I knew. Perhaps "Cho-gi’s" heart was like yours as well. If it were me, I might not have done that…I wouldn’t be able to. When we are born into this world, everyone is different. Even though I didn’t understand you…I felt it."
He says this to Joon Soo, but at the same time he’s looking up at the sky, as if he was talking to that ‘someone else…”
And Joon Soo knows this as well, because he stares up at that sky with him and says,
"Do you hear this? Tonight, you must be extremely happy, father."
o(╥﹏╥)o From Joon Soo’s breakdown earlier, to this confrontation and understanding between the brothers….this healing process was slow and long, but it’s been life-changing.
"Healing yourself is connected with healing others."
- Yoko Ono
 (*^ω^)人(^ω^*)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And if you hadn’t had enough healing and warmness, don’t stress yet, because Do Hee’s family also experience their much needed family time.
Jung Yeon calls Do Hee to the table to try some new dishes with her father. The 3 sit down and Do Hee gives her opinion on her new dishes.
"It’s good…but I don’t think you can put it on the menu (just yet)." Hehehehe. Honest opinion.
And out of the blue, Jung Yeon asks
"oh right, if you had a sibling…you wouldn’t get jealous would you?"
*exchange of stares*
"No…I’m grown up already."
Jung Yeon happily thanks her and Do Hee gets up to leave.
Since Do Hee has given a thumbs up, will Do Hee’s father do the same?
He tells her he still hasn’t finished reading her report yet…
In other words, “let him go through things one at a time” :), take it slowly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joon Soo prepares some fish soup for In Joo and Ajusshi (after what it seems like a hard night of drinking and partying!) and In Joo tells him to just focus on one thing.
He says he was thinking and making the soup at the same time.
" So that means you weren’t serious while making the soup and while thinking?" [hahahaha]
She tells him, a genius like her can’t even do two things at once.
And suddenly Ajusshi pops up and rambles about his Jung Ja sshi. In Joo looks at him knowing what he’s going to do. She tells him “you’re not focusing again are you? If you have time to ask about his Jung Ja sshi problems, why not use it to focus on what you should be actually focusing on?”
Ah, the great master In Jooooooo~~~~ (シ_ _)シ
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And then it’s the night of the most anticipated ‘product show’(they all were preparing for)! It’s a show for the upcoming “potential” F/W outdoor clothing between Team A and Team B.
Team A goes first with a normal (and boring xD) catwalk.
Then it’s Team B’s turn and all eyes are on Joon Soo who ‘planned’ everything (heck, even his team doesn’t know what he’s up to!) Do Hee seems a bit nervous, but I’m sure she has full faith in Joon Soo.(●´∀`●)
He oddly stares up at the big screen, and it suddenly changes to a picture of a snowy mountain…
The smoke goes off, the lights come on and the models come gliding down in a gorgeous and breathtaking manner (kinda like, ‘Mission Impossible’ Tom Cruise style  (︶ω︶) (*squeals!!!!*) and everyone is equally in awe and amazed.“ヽ(´▽`)ノ”
We have prepared a stage which fully represents the uniqueness of our clothing” He tells the audience.
The models ‘fly’ down and everyone claps enthusiastically. Joon Soo lets out a satisfied smile while down below, Do Hee proudly looks on and smiles as well.(●´∀`●)
(ノ>▽<。)ノ*Woohoooooooo!!! That scene was amazing! Bravo to Joon Soo for thinking of something like that!!!!(✌゚∀゚)☞
