Ugly Alert - Ep84 Recap

We open up with a sinister raincloud and a tense atmosphere where Creepy Lawyer is successful at aggravating and convincing Ex-minister Kim (aka deceased Kyung Tae’s father) to reveal all of Joon Soo’s deeds to Harabeoji…
But before that, let’s backtrack to the beginning of the conversation because obviously as a viewer I find it very appalling that he’s still out for revenge (BUT of course, WE’RE the only ones that know the truth, so it’s quite aggravating). o(>< )o
Creepy Lawyer personally sent an email to ex-minster Kim and he replied right away and flew straight to Korea (even in his bad health). It seems Creepy Lawyer has told him that Joon Soo has drawn up a web-toon wanting to show that his son deserved to die (oh no…douchebag has seriously twisted the truth…=.=)
And then, douchebag adds more oil on the fire.
"He did not only that to defend himself. He thinks he’s repented by going to prison and now he’s taken wings and started to fly."
Ex-minister Kim angrily clutches onto his handkerchief…and we switch to a lighter scene between the brothers. Hyun Suk’s asking Joon Soo indirectly to have a movie date with him (Joo Young and Do Hee). He doesn’t explicitly say it though…because that’s Hyun Suk, so Joon Soo teases him about it, haha.
But then we shift back to that ominous mood when ex-minister Kim voices over, “I know his brother became a prosecutor  My son…could’ve become the president. Yet those people are still living happily?”
And Douchebag sprinkles his snake oil again:
"Yes, after you retired from the political scene and slept on the hospital bed (he’s too good with words, isn’t he? =.=), it was all because of those two. "
Ex-minister Kim then reveals that Joon Soo had sent him 3 letters while in prison but he never opened one of them. He didn’t want to let him atone for his crime…
"He doesn’t know… that in this world there are crimes that can be forgiven,  and then there are others that can never be forgiven!"
Douchebag continues spilling out more of his oil and agrees, saying that he finds it disgusting how he has to be in the same company as an ex-convict  (* ̄m ̄).
Okay then comes the 'face-palm'(;-_-)ノscene where you groan in agony and wish to somehow break your computer screen, reach into it, and strangle the heck out of creepy lawyer:
"Is that all? Is this the only reason you wanted me to see BY’s chairman?"
"No…that man also has ‘set his eyes’ on my woman. (okay, prepare your strangling hands…*flexes fingers*)
Ex-minister Kim stares in disbelief.
Piece -of -trash douchebag tells ex-minster Kim  compared to him revealing the truth, it’s better if he told  Harabeoji the truth in person, but ex-minister quickly rejects it…
"No…revealing the truth will not make up for my heart’s hatred. Why would I do that?"
Douchebag uselessly adds “he’s riding on the wind by using my woman to enter the company!” (Σ(▼□▼メ) *STRANGLEx10000000)
"My hate is not towards only him…Gong Joon Soo, Gong Hyun Suk, it’s those two together!"
Creepy Lawyer is taken back by that statement…
Later, ex-minster Kim praises his son in front of creepy lawyer, for being so talented in many areas… and you see that it’s really not that simple for him to let go of his grudge. His son was like his prized possession, and then those two came in somehow and threw his prized possession to the ground and broke it. There’s such a deep misunderstanding…the wound is so deeply imprinted that it just takes a little ‘oil’ to reignite what should of been left in the past…
He even goes on to say that he believes the Gong brothers ‘intentionally ‘murdered his son (oh brother….=.=) *creepy lawyer’s head perks up*
"I wanted both of them to get punished, but the older brother kept on insisting he did it and the case quickly closed."
*creepy lawyers snake eye’s shift rapidly and his brain gears start turning at the piece of new information*
"Can you help me get revenge…Lawyer Lee?"
me: *grabs hair* NOOOOOOooooooooo. *sigh*ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ
I understand a father’s grief. Yet, I also want to shake him and say "have you ever thought that it was YOUR son that was also wrong!?!?" But…it’s useless shaking sense into such thick-skulled people…
We can only await for what the gods have in store. It might be fate to reveal what was covered up for 10 years. And yes, it will bring pain to Joon Soo who gave up everything for that, and also his family, but the truth needs to be told someday…
*Oh mighty writer-nim, just please lessen the pain to the minimum*  (╯︵╰,)*
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, let’s kick aside all that serious stuff and relax back into simple pure sweetness…
The 4 are on a movie date (and as promised, Hyun Suk pays for all the expenses *Joo Young’s pissed off of course*, haha)
They’re watching “The Spy”, a comedy (FYI: to which Joo Hwan also attended the VIP premiere event to, a few weeks ago ¬‿¬!) , and there’s a clear difference in the couple’s reactions. A tense Hyun Suk watching like it’s a horror movie or something, and a loving Do Hee and Joon Soo laughing and cuddling up.
Joo Young’s not impressed, and the two-newbies continuously keep taking glances to the other two.
Joon Soo lovingly feeds Do Hee popcorn *squeal*, feeds her the soft-drink *gyaahh!!!* and wipes her mouth *OMO!* ≧(´▽`)≦
Joo Young asks Hyun Suk if he’s learnt anything from watching them, and he simply says "aren’t you going to watch the movie?* ʘ‿ʘ
Joo Young just makes a fist and tries to ‘pretend’ punch him…(◑‿◐)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, and then the writer spoils us with another loving couple date out in the warm sunny park, where a hilarious scene folds out.
The two couples start a bike race where Joon Soo and Do Hee are leisurely peddling to, while the other two are bickering and fighting, trying to catch up.
Here’s just a few hilarious lines Hyun Suk and Joo Young shot back at forth at each other:
"Having you, who only knows how to talk, is exhausting me!"
"Don’t you have a strong desire to win!?! Hurry and pedal!!!"
"Stop talking! It’s tiring me!…Are you even peddling?"
"You’re so heavy!" "ME!?"
"Look, you’re not peddling!"
"I’m doing my best!"
*more screams and breathless sighs*
All in the meanwhile…Joon Soo and Do Hee ride leisurely, like they’re filming a CF…..
BUAHAHAHAHAHA *wipes tear*  (⌒▽⌒)☆
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day turns into night and the couples end their day…with a competition.
It all started when Joo Young complained that Hyun Suk always loses to his brother (and he says he only studied, how’d he have time to exercise?) Hyun Suk then goes to tell Joo Young to "lose some weight" so it’s easier next time(*slaps forehead* (°◇°;) dude really needs skills on dating!)
She fights back saying she’s lighter than Do Hee!
Do Hee stands up and says they’ll see how true that is…
Weight-lifiting-your-woman-to-see-who’s-lighest Contest BEGINS!!!!
(Omg, this scene…I just can’t xD) (︶ω︶)
The two poor men go up and down, sweat dripping down profusely.
"You’re not tired are you?" Do Hee sweetly asks Joon Soo, helping him wipe the sweat off his face with the back of her hand.
"Of course not! I wouldn’t want to be beaten up by you…"
"I’m reaaally light, aren’t I?" Do Hee sweetly asks again.
OH right! Of course, just like a feather! So light, I didn’t even realize I was carrying you!” (Joon Soo…really knows how to sweet-talk (*~▽~), buahahahaha)
"Hyung? Why do we have to get punished like this?" Hyun Suk carelessly asks….
Do Hee gives a sweet death-stare to Joon Soo and he says:
"I don’t…feel this is a punishment."
*astounded stares from the other two*
"Why can’t we just weigh them on a scale!" Hyun Suk complains again.
"Don’t talk…save your energy" Joon Soo teaches him.
They go down again and Hyun Suk’s ready to throw in the white flag but Joo Young threatens him “TRY! I’ll make you never be able to say the two words ‘give up’ again!
Oooosh. Up he goes and Do Hee secretly tells Joon Soo to let them win or else Hyun Suk will get tortured by Joo Young.
Joon Soo quickly agrees (of course, hahaha) and they surrender to Joo Young’s delight!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joo Young shows some ‘overly’ affection to Hyun Suk (to his disbelief) and Joon Soo quickly turns Do Hee around to let them have their ‘alone time’.
He wants to leave ASAP but Joo Young keeps bothering him. (Hyun Suk still has a long ways to go in terms of ‘dating’ =.=” not like his hyung, who’s mastered all the tricks already! haha)
Joon Soo and Do Hee happily look on at the other two and Joon Soo is quick to point to his cheek for a rewarding kiss (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
*AIGOOO YAH, they’re sooo cute* ♥(ノ´∀`)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While Do Hee is tending to Joo Young’s foot, Joo Young asks her,
"Tell me the truth, you like Joon Soo…because he’s strong right?"
what? xD
She tells her it’s best when men are strong…and then slyly asks “how far…have you guys developed?” (。’▽’。)♡
Do Hee just sighs and then the two get into a pillow fight .
Back at the Gong household, good brother-in-law Chul Soo help the other two slap on some plasters on their backs (after a hard day’s work of lifting!) and Nari barges in asking Joon Soo, was it because of Do Hee that he didn’t pick up his phone?
Hyun Suk goes "ask those things after he gets married" LOL.
She keeps asking if they went on a date and Hyun Suk gets jealous asking why she’s only asking her Keun Oppa. Nari doesn’t care for him because she’s at least thankful that someone likes him xD. Buahahaha
He tells her it’s not fair treatment and the siblings playfully chase each other around.
My face is just like Chul Soo’s at the end  ( ´∀`)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harabeoji, Na-sajangnim, In Joo and Do Hee are having a ‘secret meeting’ and it seems like information got leaked out again…
Harabeoji asks if they should strengthen their security, but In Joo says she’s already thrown the bait, the culprit will soon take it.
"What bait?"
"When the right time comes, I’ll tell the ‘spy’ what my bait is."
"So you’re throwing out bait to lure the culprit?" Harabeoji asks (he’s also thinking that they’re wasting precious info then)
"We can’t always think of a new concept, can we?" In Joo replies.
Do Hee and In Joo meet Joon Soo in the hallway and Do Hee asks him if he can ‘reveal’ the secret to her…but although he’s scared of Do Hee, he’s even more afraid of In Joo (so…nope, his lips are sealed).
In Joo sees douchbag and links Joon Soo’s arms with hers asking him “You know this is all for show, right? You must be very angry because of us. Make sure you take your medicine and don’t get sick.”
Oh touché~~~
(︶ω︶)
He then goes up to Do Hee and tells her "it’s a pity…you love someone like him"
"If you knew a bit of humour, your life would be a bit more interesting." She retorts.
 (¬‿¬)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After supplying a love-stricken Ahjussi with chicken wings, the two go outside to sit down and talk.
Do Hee tells him she’s worried about tomorrow’s meeting with Nari. She originally wanted to tell her she was busy…but she somehow agreed.
"Na Do Hee has someone she’s scared of? Our Nari’s amazing."
What if, she begs Nari like Joo Young does?
"Can Na Do Hee do that?" Joon Soo asks, and she comes up with her best ‘pity’ face/action.
Joon Soo asks if she feels ‘wronged’ that she’s being taken down by Nari like this, she should be saying"what’s so great about your brother, he’s an ex-convict, I was the one that saved him."
Do Hee slaps him, disapproving him for thinking like that. He should learn from Nari.
"Just like how she puts you in the front with confidence, you too should have some confidence in yourself."
Joon Soo cuddles her face into his hands and says,
"Okay then I’ll do that. Because "Ashimdo" is very obedient."
A sly Do Hee asks “you…want to kiss me now, right?”  ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ *yessss please*
But Joon Soo replies "if I kiss you too often, it’ll become a habit, so I won’t" *( TOTALLY FINE with it becoming a habit, right Do Hee? ≧▽≦)
They go ‘kiss me!’ and ‘no I won’t!’ back and forth until Do Hee gives up. Fine, don’t kiss me then !(=`〜´=)(what? NOOOO!)
And right when she surrenders, he leans over to peck her on the cheek to her surprise (and to my delight TEHEHEHE (*≧▽≦) )
The two are just able to smile shyly and Do Hee playfully pushes him.
"Weren’t you not going to kiss me?"
And adorable Joon Soo acts all embarrased, covering up his cheeks like a little school boy
OMG, how can he be embrassed by a simple peck, when he’s kissed WAAAAAY more passionately then that xD?  Oh, Joon Soo yah~~~ o(≧▽≦)o
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh surprise, surprise…
Hyun Suk sees creepy lawyer at the prosecutor’s office shaking hands with one of his sunbaes. And as he leaves, the creep just gives him a …creepy sneer.
His sunbae tells him that creepy lawyer was his ‘hoobae’ (junior) at Harvard =.= ands says Hyun Suk should know him from the previous trial.
"He says he wants to continue investigating a case."
"What case?"
"10 years ago…your brother’s case that I was in charge of."
 (; ̄Д ̄)
 (; ̄Д ̄)
 (; ̄Д ̄)
Okay. I fear that creepy lawyer is set to ‘reopen’ this case and then make everyone’s life hell after that (he’s probably just going to do just that =.=)
What’s the deadline for the amount of years in Korea for a case to be reopened anyway….?
