Ugly Alert - Ep109 Recap

So of course the whole family is shocked when Joo Young drops the bomb, but the other two don’t care and tell them they’re not here to get there approval but to just notify them =.= 

When Do Hee learns of the news she’s just as shocked as the rest of them. Joo Young tells her she just couldn’t stand her mother anymore and surrendered…and the only way was to join up with creepy lawyer (wow…such a weak argument girl =,=)

And here is what separates Joo Young and Do Hee:

"To you, is this love? Escaping whenever you want to…is this love?"

"Yes…to me it is. I told you, I"m not you!…"

Do Hee says she really wants to slap her, but she won’t and tells her to think carefully.

"You only get one chance at life, not two! Don’t joke around with your own life."

Wise words. Listen to them.

Let’s switch to a lighter mood.

a. Ahjussi carefully applying beauty products,hehe.

b. AND team leader A popping in and giving In Joo and Ahjussi a suspicious stare…. 

(I think she’s too overly protective of In Joo xD)

Okay, back to the depressing mood.

Jin Joo’s furious at how Joo Young has turned out and feels bad for Hyun Suk. She feels that there’s no need to ‘deal’ with a woman who can change her heart in a day.

Joon Soo tries to calm her down and tells her that Joo Young might just be acting like this ‘temporarily’ because she’s stressed out from her mother.

She asks him back what’s so bad about Hyun Suk that Joo Young’s mother can’t accept?

"Also, no matter how tired you are, it doesn’t mean you go marry someone else. Is there such thing?! " (so true >.>) 

Jin Joo’s firm about her thoughts on Joo Young and says she hates her…

Back home, Jin Joo cries and tells Chul Soo she’s going crazy…

*Sigh* I liked this scene , because it showed how much Jin Joo cared for Hyun Suk. Although everything looks so bad right now, there’s one good thing and that is seeing the siblings care for each other… (Although Jin Joo might not have ‘openly’ showed it as much before TT_TT)

The brothers have a drink to try and forget about the trouble for now. Joon Soo blames himself saying that if it weren’t for him, creepy lawyer wouldn’t have used Joo Young like this. 

"Taking the blame for everything…were you born with this trait?" Hyun Suk asks.

They continue drinking, and Hyun Suk questions if that’s the woman he really knows. 

"You can’t give up on being hard on yourself.  You’ll have to continue doing so." Joon Soo tells him.

"What am I doing? it feels like I’m yelling to a wall, so helpless."

"So how many times have you yelled out then? Will you just forget and continue living because (the situation) is too unfamiliar to you? Will you not regret?

Do everything you can…so that you can have the confidence to say you won’t regret.”

Words of wisdom from Joon Soo ~(˘▾˘)~

(just like how Do Hee said so to Joo Young. Except the difference here is Hyun Suk is actually listening… =.=)

Do Hee tries to ‘wake up’ Joo Young by splashing water on her. However Joo Young is still barricaded in her selfish mindset (yes, I say selfish.. because it is)

She yells at Do Hee saying that it’s her life, she can do whatever she wants.

Do Hee tells her she feels she has some responsibility for making Joo Young become like what she is now…Knowing what kind of person creepy lawyer is, she should’ve did everything to kick him out.

"Is he someone you can kick out so easily!?" Joo Young asks back (answer is : no!) “Do you know how scary of a person he is?”

"If you know that, you’re still marrying him?"

"Yeah! Because I’m weak, and I need him!"

"You’re not scared! You’re being filthy. If you live with a person like him, you’ll get dirty as well."

*Sigh* and its evident that Do Hee’s words are not getting into her brain, because she thoughtlessly asks Do Hee if she’s jealous because she’ll never be able to marry Joon Soo =.=…

*ARG* Do Hee, just slap her! Make her wake up! Make her FACE THE PROBLEM!!!!

Do Hee takes her in front of the mirror and tells her to look at how pale her face is ( like a monster), 

"Ask this pale face…how weak it is (become)." 

And she leaves her to contemplate that question…

OKAY.ƪ(‾_‾)ʃ

Obviously I was quite unhappy with this episode. Literally no Joon Soo Do Hee interaction at all.ﾍ(;´Д｀ﾍ)

I know that the truth about Hyun Suk and the case is important, but I hope they don’t drag out this ‘side storyline’ for long, because it’ll totally take away precious time from all the others (Joon Soo and Do Hee!!!) 

Ways the storyline won’t be dragged on: 

a. Either Nari suddenly remembers everything

b. The truth comes out quickly so that we don’t have to suffer Joo Young trying to be a martyr here.
