Ugly Alert - Ep86 Recap

Nari is first to notify her Keun Oppa about Jin Joo and he and Do Hee rush to the hospital. Apparently, Hyun Suk is the last one to know because Do Hee has to tell Joo Young…who tells him. They all arrive at the hospital worried, and thankfully the baby is okay!
Jung Ja sshi leaves first and Jin Joo tells them to quickly change rooms. A single room is too expensive! They tell her not to worry about these things now… (aww, jin joo is first to worry about money ><)

Jung Ja Sshi sits alone on the roadside blaming herself for everything. Not being a good mother and putting her grand-son in danger like that…
Jung Ja Sshi >….<
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at home, Hyun Suk asks why Nari didn’t notify him first. She says she was too scared at the moment…and Hyun Suk says no matter what he should be the first one to know.
"The way you treat me and your Keun Oppa is too different!" He tells her and she looks away all guilty.
On the other side, Joo Young stops to think about how Nari let her be with Hyun Suk so easily and how she only contacted Joon Soo first and not Hyun Suk. The difference in her treatment towards the brothers…makes her unhappy.
Do Hee tells her to stop acting like a child. Joo Young says she wanted to call the two over to celebrate the fact her father approves of Hyun Suk, and Do Hee is taken back at first by this news.
Joo Young apologizes saying that her life is going smoothly and Do Hee says what is there to apologize for? She knew her father would like Hyun Suk.
Joo Young then tells her to directly tell her father and Harabeoji. They might be surprised at first, but they seem to like Joon Soo.
"How much more does he need to get approved?" Joo Young asks.
Do Hee doesn’t say anything and we all know the reason why…><
She quickly changes the topic and says they should worry about Jin Joo first…
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do Hee and Joon Soo prepare to leave to buy some congee for Jin Joo when they meet Harabeoji, her father…and the douchebag. Harabeoji asks them to join them for lunch and she says they have to go to the factory to do stuff…
Harabeoji comments that she’s very good at ‘ordering’ around Joon Soo (in a nice way of course) and she and him quickly say their good-byes and leave.
It’s here where Creepy Lawyer brings up to Harabeoji that there are ‘rumours’ going around saying that Do Hee is showing too much favouritism to that ‘contracted worker.’
"Why do you believe in such rumours? It was me who told Do Hee to get along with him."
Buuuurrnn, hahahaha. In your face  (¬‿¬)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"My mom never cried. After my step-father died, when we were forced out and moved to the rooftop, my mother never cried. For me to become like my mom…is still a long ways."
Jin Joo calmly asks if Chul Soo can take a few days off work and find out how much his mother owes. She also tells him to comfort her…and then he breaks down and cries >.<
Later, Chul Soo tells his mother they should leave before they become any more of a burden to them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the hospital, Joo Young is proud to be the first one to buy abalone congee for Jin Joo saying it’s good for her, but Do Hee says Joon Soo told her she liked vegetable congee more…
Joo Young vents it out on Hyun Suk asking why he’s not as considerate. Buahahaha.
Joo Young later tells Jin Joo that she’ll take on a more ‘active’ role in helping Hyun Suk gain brownie points…now that her father has approved of Hyun Suk. They might even get married soon. She points to the other two saying that they should get their approval soon as well and doesn’t understand why they’re dragging it out (=.=).
Joon Soo suddenly gets a call from someone and his face immediately becomes serious. We switch over to creepy lawyer and we flashback to the meeting he had with the officer. The ‘strange’ piece of information he tells him is that the case was obviously  a ‘negligent homicide’ (lesser offense compared to first and second degree murder)…but it became a ‘murder’.
"I felt once again that because of abuse of authority, the power of justice became weak. If the victim’s father wasn’t someone with so much power, the result would’ve been different."
(So this dude’s a good guy TT_TT!!! Righteous officer!!!)
Back to creepy lawyer who has calls forth his minion and tells her they need to act again. She’s apprehensive and he asks if she wants to back out now.
"We can’t continue leaking information…"
"We’re past that stage of ‘leaking information’ (=.=). We need to hasten the progress…"
and they exchange evil stares…  (¬、¬) [what are they up to now!?!?!?]
Joon Soo is here to meet the officer who he is apparently already acquainted with.
The officer tells Joon Soo that creepy lawyer came to find him and asked if there was anything suspicious about the case. He told him about his doubt about how ‘negligent homicide’ turned into ‘murder and it seems creepy lawyer also had the same suspicions…
(Oh, then we learn this dude’s name is Officer Kim)
Officer Kim tells Joon Soo not to worry. He didn’t ‘tell ‘him (creepy lawyer).
" The last time I saw you, I told you to appeal, do you still remember?"
"But you said you deserved to get 10 years for murdering someone. "I don’t want to see you, let’s never meet again." After you threw your tantrum, you left."
Joon Soo tells him he knows he cares about him and Officer Kim says back to him,
" I don’t know how you provoked him, but if that case gets reopened, it will be troublesome."
"That won’t happen, I’ve already atoned for my crime."
"Lawyer Lee probably knew that and still came to find me. I heard your brother is a prosecutor. You want to protect him even more…"
"I don’t. It’s the same now as it was before. I didn’t do that because of my brother. It’s because I had to take responsibility of my own crime (><)."
Officer Kim is just able to look at him and sigh…
[So it seems Officer Kim here knows the ‘truth’ behind the whole case. Joon Soo took the blame for Hyun Suk. Although, I don’t think Joon Soo told him, he probably figured it out through investigating and the two have a kind of ‘mutual understanding  that they both know. And officer Kim is also helping Joon Soo keep it a secret, probably to respect his decision. With that being said, I’m so glad that Officer Kim is a ‘good person’ and might be of some help in the future after more gets uncovered by creepy lawyer….]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joon Soo is lost in thought walking back after meeting Officer Kim and even misses Do Hee who calls back at him to wake him up. He gives her a glum face and we switch to them in her office where she gulps down a cup of water and angrily asks why that douchebag is always bringing up the past =.=
But then she says,
"But it’s fortunate…didn’t you say that officer said your case was originally a ‘negligent homicide’ but it turned into ‘murder’? Then that means, Lawyer Lee also knows that there might be a hidden fact to this whole case."
"Do Hee I don’t feel wronged. Although it was really ‘negligent homicide’ but I really killed someone…"
"It’s just that you don’t like it…( creepy lawyer being a nuisance)."
"Yes, I really hate it. I’m scared it will torture my siblings again. Even if I do get another punishment, I will take it out on Lawyer Lee.
Do Hee gets startled by his words, and he says “although I know I’ll be sorry towards you, but I’m really scared I won’t be able to hold it in. I’ll never know when I’ll burst.”
Do Hee quickly grabs his hand and says,
" Weren’t we always doing fine? No matter how much he tortured you, you still held it in. It’ll be the same from now on. Gong Joon Soo won’t abandon me and die. No matter how angry and how much you want to punch him, think about me, Joon Soo sshi."
She tells him to promise her by asking him to nod his head, and he does. (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ
[That’s correct Joon Soo sshi. You don’t deserve to suffer another punishment just for that piece of trash/pile of icky dirt. Not only do you have to endure…WE AS VIEWERS, do too! Fighting!](╯°□°)╯
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chul Soo and his mom prepare to leave and Jung Ja sshi says she doesn’t want to see them divorce. Chul Soo reasons that if they don’t separate from Jin Joo now, they’ll only continue making her life worse (>.<). Jung Ja sshi says she should just die and Chul Soo shouts at her saying THAT would be only be making it worse for Jin Joo. Our poor Jung Ja Sshi knows everything is her fault, and Chul Soo just tells her to leave. She stares at the house one last time…
They meet up with the loan-shark and Chul Soo comments that the interest rates they set are not following the law. From now on he will pay according to what the law sets it as (to the displeasure of the loan-shark >.>) and it’s here where you finally realize that Chul Soo has indeed grown from being a mama’s boy to someone who will take charge of matters…
They head back to their tiny space and Chul Soo sighs that they have to think of someway to find money (his salary is too meager). Jung Ja Sshi urges him once again to not divorce, but it seems like he is adamant…
It’s good that you’ve grown up Chul Soo, but divorce won’t solve the problem! You’re only going to hurt Jin Joo. Overcome the obstacle together. Get rid of the idea that you’re a ‘burden’ to her, because that’s wrong thinking!

*cringe*
Creepy Lawyer has finally taken it in his hands to find Jung Yeon.
Thankfully, Jung Yeon already knows how despicable Creepy Lawyer is, so she’s at least…sorta prepared.
Jung Yeon tells him to say what he has to say, because her husband is coming soon.
However creepy lawyer is all prepared and pompously tells her that Na-sajangnim has a gathering so he will be late today =.=
He says he’ll just get straight to the point and asks her if she knows about Joon Soo and Do Hee’s relationship.
"Those two are not simply a ‘boss/worker’ relationship." He adds.
Isn’t it a problem just between them?” (IOW, she says she won’t interfere)
"You’re only saying that because you’re her step-mother, or because he’s your ex-lover? You’re happy that he’s met a good woman?
Before Sec.Kim left, she told me about your relationship with him. And she also warned me that this relationship might not have ‘ended’. After hearing your words, I’m even more certain of this fact.”
*STRANGLESLAPSTRANGLEHIM* ヽ(#`Д´)ノ
WHAT!? Unbelievable imagination he has. Why not just become a writer =.= ?!
